第一句话中 in ... subject 和 in general 是习惯表达法（没有其他词来干扰的话），这个结构是基于 not only ... but also... 从句的
第二句话整体结构是 self confidence grows first from A , then from B. mastering a subject 代替了A的位置而已。如果我换表达：having a good command in a subject ，in 就又出现了
同样的，我也可以反问 为什么是 in this way ，而不是 from this way ??
