问大家英语上一个定语从句的问题

我一直弄不懂when，which在都代替时间时有什么区别呢？where和which有什么区别呢？麻烦大家举一个例子，说的详细易懂点，不要抄，也不要从语法书上照搬，按自己的语言说，请快点，谢谢了！

which引导的是定语从句，which前面要加一个先行词（名词）
例如： I still remember the day when I first came to the school.
这里day就是先行词，这是定语从句，从句做day的定语
when引导定语从句
例如：That was the year when he was born.
之所以是定语从句，因为有先行词，这里的when可以变成in which，因为应该是he was born in 2009，这里的介词用in。
when还可以引导时间状语从句，这里没有先行词了
例如：I will return the book when I finish it，虽然when前面也有个名词，但是不是表示时间的，这里的when引导是时间状语从句，也可以这么写：When I finish it，I will return the book .

when在从句中充当时间状语如 I”ll never forget the day when I first came to Hangzhou.先行词是表示时间的the day但从句中缺少时间状语
which在从句中作宾语如 I”ll never forget the day which we spend together.先行词也是表示时间的the day 但从句中缺少spend 的宾语故用which作宾语
where 在从句中作地点状语如
Hangzhou is a city where there is a beautiful lake
which 在从句中作宾语或主语如
Hangzhou is the city which we visited yesterday(which作visit的宾语）
Hangzhou is a city which has a beautiful lake (which在从句中作主语）

二者互相替代，代入句子里面即可。
例子：

It's when i should go to bed = it's at which time i should go to bed.
