3.3 Taming
The writer's tale is filled with characters who either should be or have been tamed. The fox explains that taming means “creating ties” with another person so that two people become more special to one another. Simple contact is not enough: the king, the vain man, the drunkard, the businessman, the geographer, and the lamplighter all meet the prince, but are too stuck in their routines to establish proper ties with him. The fox is the first character to explain that in order to be truly connected to another, certain rites and rituals must be observed, and two people must give part of themselves to each other. In fact, the process of taming is usually depicted as being more labor-intensive for the one doing the taming than for the person being tamed. Despite the work and emotional involvement required, taming has obvious benefits. The fox explains that the meaning of the world around him will be enriched because the little prince has tamed him. In contrast, the businessman cannot even remember what the stars he owns are called.
3.4 Responsibility, Love and relationships
Relationships are built through responsibility and care. In this novel it is often represented by gardening. The rose is the symbol of a beloved. The Prince puts work into maintaining the flower, and so he builds a relationship with it and comes to know it better. Love is represented as a powerful emotion that can cause pain, but is worth it in the end because we only gain from the interaction. Humans need this interaction, this care and relationship. It ties back into the theme of loneliness.
We cannot escape this theme in any part of this novel. Every interaction shows us how much we need each other. Gardening exemplifies this perfectly because it is about care and devotion, two things absolutely necessary for a relationship to survive.
The rose was a symbol that at first bugged me very much. She is the only woman in the story and her vanity offended me. Though she does change, as do all the characters in this story (even the prince). The vanity is just a cover, and when the prince goes to leave she shows her true feelings. This is a message to us. Show those you care for your true feelings. If the flower did not do so, the prince would not be so intent on getting back to his planet, and making sure the sheep doesn’t harm her. We need to express feelings to build a relationship. People who are too busy rushing around do not stop to nurture such relationships as the prince nurtures the flower.

Taming
Many characters in the writer's tale are either tamed or will be tamed in the future. For example, the fox represents establishing bonds between each other, thus a more special relationship will be forged between the two. Conventional ways of establishing bonds do not work as well as innovative ones. The king, the vain man, the drunkard, the businessman, the geographer, and the lamplighter all meet the prince, yet they all restricted themselves using conventional thinking, making connections with the prince only with the traditional manners. On the contrary, the fox, ironically, becomes the first one to truely understand that in order for two people to become closely connected, they must observe a certain rites and rituals from each other, and contribute to their friendship. Frankly, in order to tame, in this case, making friend, requires the tamer to contribute much more energy into creating the bond than the tamed has to contribute. Although the process of taming may require much work and thoughts, it has been proven to be beneficial. The fox, tamed, awards the prince with the ability to see and to understand the world around him better. However, the business man, lacking the close bond created by the process of taming, could not even remember the name of the stars he obtained.
Responsiblity, love, and relationship
Relationships, represented by gardening in this novel, requries responsibility and care. The Prince became more inter-connected with the rose, a symbol of a beloved, by devoting his time into taking care of it. Although love is often illustrated as an ambiguous emotion that brings up pain, it is a crucial emotion to have because it produces a certain kind of interaction to help us stepping out of our confort zone, away from loneliness.
Loneliness is an inevitable theme in this novel. Every interaction, whether the fox or the flower, crystalizes how much we need each other. Gardening, a perfect example, illustrates the two most important characteristics for the survival of love, care, and devotion. The rose, a symbol that continuously troubles me, struck me with her vanity. Although she eventually changes, as do all the other characters in the story, her vanity is still but a cover. Eventually she expressed her true feeling toward the prince when he was about to leave,as the prince was eager to get back to his planet to make sure that the sheep do not eat her. This kind of emotional burst is absolutely necessary for the stability of a relationship. But sadly, people nowadays are simply to busy to hang out with those who care about them to maintain their relationship as the prince did to the flower.

P.S.
I did not read the original story, so there may be inconsistency in my paragraphs that does not concord with the original context. But still, since I was the first one to reply, would you please give me the bonus points?
