在佛罗伦萨阿诺河畔的一片树林里，大风正集合着云霭，孕育着一场磅礴的暴风雨。顷刻间，雨从日落下起，夹带着冰雹，狂风暴雨伴着气势恢宏的电闪雷鸣，涤荡大地、震撼人间。
大自然的雄伟乐章，触发了诗人的灵感。于是，自然界和人世间的狂风暴雨一同生起在诗人雪莱的笔下，倾泻为激昂慷慨的歌，最负盛名的抒情短诗《西风颂》就此诞生。
