My name is xxx and I am the chairman of XXX school students union. My school is going to hold an English contest at the end of this month. It is a spoken English contest that every contestant need to give a 3 minutes speech based on the topic given. I learnt that you are an American English teacher and have good experiences in teaching English and public speeches.
