中国药科大学英文介绍：Founded in 1936, China Pharmaceutical University, formerly known as the National College of Pharmacy (Undergraduate four-year system), is the first pharmaceutical university founded by the state in China. Moved to Hankou in 1937, Chongqing in 1938 and Nanjing in 1946. It was renamed East China Pharmaceutical College in 1950.
In 1952, the Department of pharmacy of Qilu University and the specialty of pharmacy of Soochow University were incorporated into the University, and East China College of pharmacy was established. In 1953, the pharmacy specialty of Central South Health College was incorporated into the school. It was renamed Nanjing Pharmaceutical College in 1956.
In 1986, it merged with Nanjing College of traditional Chinese medicine under preparation to establish China Pharmaceutical University. In 2000, the school was transferred from the State Drug Administration to the Ministry of education. In 2001, Jiangsu Pharmaceutical School was incorporated into the school .

China Pharmaceutical University (CPU), founded in 1936, is one of the best universities of pharmacy in China and one of the “211 project” national key universities affiliated to the Ministry of Education of China. Located in Nanjing, it is composed of two campuses including Xuanwumen campus and Jiangning campus. CPU consists of 6 schools (School of Pharmacy, School of Traditional Chinese Pharmacy, School of Life science and Technology, School of International Pharmaceutical Business, School of Continuing Education, and School of Higher Vocational Education), 4 independent departments (Dept. of Basic Sciences, Dept. of Foreign Languages, Dept. of Social Sciences, and Dept. of Physical Education), offers 20 bachelor’s degree programs, 29 master’s programs and 24 doctoral programs. The Pharmacy discipline ranks No. 1 and Traditional Chinese Pharmacy discipline ranks No. 3 according to the 2008 statistics of the Ministry of Education of China.
