英语疑问句语法怎么分清提问的是主语还是宾语？

what strange things had happened during the night?这个事主语用陈述句。那么 when will he arrive 也是对主语提问为什么这个用了是助动词提前的模式？为什么我写的what had strange things happend during the night ?是错的呢

首先，特殊疑问句都是特殊疑问词在先。
1.若对主语提问则只需将主语换成相应的特殊疑问词，别处不动。如：
Liu Xiang is her favorite sportsman.(对Liu Xiang提问)
Who is her favorite sportsman？
2.如果对主语之外的成分（宾语，状语等）提问，则要注意语序。通常为：特殊疑问词+助动词+主语+谓语（+其他）如：
He will arrive tomorrow.(对时间状语tomorrow提问)
when will he arrive？（when是时间状语，而非主语哦）
3.what strange things（what是定语，修饰strange things)整个短语作主语。当然，若说成what had happend during the night ?也不错呀。
