What is a lighthouse? A lighthouse is the little spark of light shining amidst the great dark loft over the sea. A lighthouse is the last bit of hope when all seem desperate. A lighthouse is a hero who stands out when all kneel in fear of the evil. A lighthouse is the voice echoing from the deep of our heart guiding us in the right direction.
I believe there is an angel inside of us all, for deep down, we can all tell right from wrong and good from evil. We all know this from the moment we were born. This knowledge has been with us all alone. It is only sometimes when we are too busy, when we are too tired or too bored, that we forget these and in front of temptations that we abandon our better judgement and make mistakes. But all along, this ability to tell right from wrong has always been with us. And it is precisely in these moments that our faith is tested. In the darkest of times, in the most difficult of situations, moments when our heart feel likes burning, we are left to choose between what is good and what is easy. We are tempted and lured, but the angel inside of would not let us abandon what is right. It is like a lighthouse in the darkness that guides us and give us hope. It is with these beliefs that we hold ourselves together and make it out of these unpleasantness.
The moral inside of us is the lighthouse. It guides us out of the darkness and hardship and it is what makes us who we are.
