区别：
一、被动态不同。
be related to与…有关，be related with 有…关联,有关，第二个词组是没有被动态的,只有relate with。
二、be related to是通用的，可以替换掉be related with。
三、亲缘关系不同。
be realted to较常用,“与……有关联/相关"、 "与…有亲缘关系"，be related with“与…有关系”。

related to 和 associate with都是和...相关的意思。一般情况下可以通用，但有一点小的差别。
首先，他们关联的程度略有不同，associated with的关联更加紧密一些，而related to的关联不是非常紧密。associate的关联可以紧密到逻辑上的因果关系，或事情发展的前因后果这样的关系。而related to则没有非常紧密地关系。
其次，associate with比较正式一些，related to更加口头话一点。

而文邹邹地说everything associated with his childhood，不是不可以，只是听上去不大自然。
