My Vibrant College Life
What can you do to make your college life vibrant? Describe the ideal university life you envisioned when you were in high school. I once dreamed of an exciting life in college, telling myself that I would engage in interesting activities to fill the next few years with happiness. I even made a detailed plan, but upon entering the university, I realized that we actually spend more time on campus than before. After a day of classes, I found that I should not spend all my time reading novels. I began to feel bored, thinking that the next four years would be monotonous. I worried that if this was the case, I would go crazy. After four years of reading novels, I felt depressed. I didn't give it much thought. So, a few weeks later, I started planning my college life to make it vibrant.
To make my college life vibrant, I decided to wake up early and go to bed late, even on weekends. I would also exercise regularly. Secondly, I would visit the library, not just to read novels, but also to explore other books, such as mathematics and English. If possible, I would find a part-time job to earn some money and gain valuable experience. By doing so, I could learn more about the real world. As mentioned above, I have been contemplating the ideal campus life. Some celebrities have described it for us. An ideal campus should be a place for reflection and inspiration. The enthusiasm for knowledge can drive us to get up early and stay up late. We should experience significant changes. We can challenge our thinking and break prejudice. On campus, we can learn how to learn. I believe all these qualities are essential for an ideal campus. I hope to enrich myself over the next four years. I aspire to have a vibrant life. I will give it my best shot.
Among the various significant themes in life, one stands out: life is meaningful. Everyone has their own perspective. As the saying goes, the greatest use of life is to spend it on something that lasts forever. I cannot agree with the notion that if our lives are merely about pursuing personal gains, we will feel meaningless and fruitless when we grow older, as suggested in Steve Jobs' books. We discover that those who are crazy enough to believe they can change the world are the ones whose work has brought significant changes to our world. His life, though short, was undoubtedly worth living. Therefore, if there is a way to make my life meaningful, it should be to find something I am passionate about and beneficial to others or society as a whole. Only in this way can I sustain my passion throughout my life until I finally realize my purpose.
