2. few 和 little 表示否定意思的“极少，几乎没有”，few 用于可数名词，little用于不可数名词
a few 和 a little 表示肯定意思的“一些”，a few 用于可数名词，a little 用于不可数名词
例句：
There are few apples. 快没有苹果了。 There are a few apples. 有一些苹果。
There is little water. 几乎没有水 。 There is a little water. 有一些水。

3. many 和 much 表示“许多”，many 用于可数名词，much用于不可数名词。
There is much water. 有很多水。 There are many apples. 有许多苹果。

4. a kind of 一种， kinds of （几）种
There are 5 kinds of apples.有5种苹果 This is a kind of apple.这是一种苹果

kind of (美国) = sort of（英国） 是英语口语中常用的短语，和语气助词一样意思比较模糊，类似汉语中的“有点”、“好像”。例句如下：

It's kind of crazy. 这有点疯狂。
The man is kind of tall. 这个男人好像很高。这里kind of 有不确定的感觉

kind of 和 sort of 可以作为插入语放在句子的任何一个位置，但是相应的，从句子里面删除这两个短语，完全不影响句子的意思，只是语气有所变化。
