一些高中英语方面的定语从句的疑问

上次我们英语老师给我们发了两张训练英语定语从句的试卷，校对出来后，我们那个不负责任的英语老师也没有讲评（真是个脑残！靠！）希望懂的人能够给我详细的讲解，要快，最好在5小时之内，谢谢！（要详细哦！）

2.Animals suffered at the hands of Man__ they were destroyed by people to make way

一，独立主格而不是定语从句，如果用which后面得是句子。
二，第二个句子，貌似不完整……主谓宾米找到诶╮(╯▽╰)╭
排除法，首先排除a,b肯定是c,d，再从语法上来看，填的是IN THAT，so that大部分情况下做的是连词，放在句子中不符合
三，for an example，必须放在一起使用，分开就不是词组了
从句子的意思来看，后面是举例子得，纽约是其中之一，选择介词of
四，是从意思上来判断的，不能答非所问。如果是强调句回答的话，那应该提问的是where did you work?
五，这个句子的主语The thought of going back，系 was，表all that kept him happy while he was working abroad
其中that在表从中做主语

1,后面的是短语，如果用which后面得是句子
2suffer in 好像也是一个短语，后面引导一个宾语从句
3newyork是many cities 中的一个，for example不能分开
4要是选A就是所问非所答，问你在哪知道的，你回答我们一起工作在那个农场，不合适
5all 是先行词 that引导的是定语从句，修饰all本回答被提问者采纳

如果用which 必须是which were，而题中没有were
2.in that ：在于
3.for example
example of
4.It was on the farm where we worked (that...)
5.定语从句用which or that不用what追问

什么啊，第四句中it was on the farm that we worked也可以啊！
（什么是独立主格？呵呵）
