Highs and Lows in My Life
We all experience highs and lows in life. I will never forget the time when I started learning English. Although I liked the subject, I couldn't find the right approach to studying it. The harder I tried to remember, the more difficult it became. I was quite discouraged and almost gave up. However, my English teacher provided the encouragement I needed and helped me discover a suitable method. As a result, I realized that English was not as daunting as I had thought. I became brave enough to speak English aloud. How thrilled I was! My confidence returned. Can you believe it? I ended up winning the first prize in our school's Spoken English Competition. It was the first time I had experienced such a high in life.
