where或其他含有where的合成词( somewhere,anywhere,nowhere)一词是副词,不是名词,换言之,它跟其他的地点名词不一样,它本身包含了介词和名词在里面,也就是说这类词等于prep.+地点n.
因此,在短语go to后面本来要搭配地点名词的情况下,由于to在这里是个介词,所以搭配where就多余了,必须将其省去,变成:
go somewhere, go anywhere 等等
也就是因为这样,当我们用where来提问时,也是没有介词 的:
Where do you want to go?
Where are you going?
