guard保卫 ，后面常跟的是安全有关的词
protect保护，后面常跟的是两个宾语，protect from/against
一般用于具体的某个事物

2.disguise 伪装，乔装打扮，通常是通过衣着、化妆等改变形象；第二种用法是掩饰或隐藏感情，如You needn't disguise your feelings.

pretend假装，如He pretended to be friendly with me.

3、assume该词有好几种意思，这里只说与presume相近的一种含义

presume推测 If a person is missing for nine years in that country, he is presumed dead.

所以assume只是一种假设，而presume只是一种根据某种事实条件的推测、推理。
