Spring Festival is the most important festival in China .In the evening before the Spring Festival ,families get together and have a big meal .In many places people like to set off firecrackers .Dumplings are the most traditional food .Children like the festival very much ,because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes .They can also get some money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck . People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good fortune .

Dear John,
Sring Festival is a traditional festival in China.I like the Chinese new year better than any other festival. This is a time especially for rest and joy. I need not study.what's more,I can get much more pocket money and wear new clothes and eat delicious food. I have a good time from morning till night. I can visit my friends and relatives.I haven't seen them for a long time.I'm sure we will have a good chat.To be frank with you, I am as happy as a bird.
The Chinese new year lasts as long as fifteen days. It gives us more pleasure than we have imagined. After that we have to resume our normal work.
