先行词是the direction，代入定语从句中去为：

=she had come in the direction
固定短语：in...direction 朝...方向

Is this school ______ they built last year?将这个句子转变为陈述句式就明白了：
This school is the one (that)they built last year.
this 修饰school,是句子的主语。
