什么时候宾语从句不用陈述语序?

什么时候宾语从句不用陈述语序?像这些题：1、I don't feel well, mum asked me _______this morning 答案是：what was the matter2、I wanted to know____________. 答案是：what was the matter with him
3、She asked Mike______with his computer? 答案是：what was the matter
我发现上述这几题的答案都是what was the matter，这是陈述句语序吗？难道宾格从句有时候也可以不用陈述句语序？为什么不是what the matter was啊？！！

其实，what is/was the matter就是陈述语序，what 既是连接词，在从句里又是主语。所以它的陈述语序和疑问语序是一样的。这个句子比较特殊。原因是matter是名词，还有其他情况：I know what is wrong with him.

matter特殊点罢了。what
既是连接词，又在从句里作主语。所以它的陈述语序和疑问语序是一样的。

一般情况下，都是要变的。
但是如果如果疑问句中的疑问词本身就是句子的主语时，不用变语序。
例：who

这两个问句也无需变语序。
