Recently, Texas A&M University sent you a communication acknowledging the receipt of your admission application. This communication indicated the importance of creating a NetID. However, to date, our records indicate that you have you have not created a NetID. If you have done so since this communication was sent, thank you for taking responsibility for your application process. If you have not created a NetID, we have included the original communication for your immediate attention.

This communication acknowledges that the Office of Admissions and received your application for admission. Please note that the application is only one component of a complete file. It is your responsibility to ensure that all required credentials are received by the posted official closing date.
Please keep this communication for future reference. It is critical that you monitor the status of your file regularly throughout the application process via the application information system (AIS) at application.tamu.edu. AIS is the preferred method of communication between you and the Admissions Processing office. AIS functions are limited before your application for admission has been processed by Admissions staff. Once you see a “Processed Date” for your application, you will notice expanded capabilities including a new section titled “Check the Status of Required Credentials for This Admission Application.” This section will provide important information regarding the items necessary to complete your application for admission. Below this section you may find another list of items that will be required before enrollment if you are admitted to Texas A&M University titled “Additionally Required Credentials”. Note: Determination of appeals is influenced by evidence of consistent monitoring of file status.
Your Universal Identification Number (UIN) is a unique number which will be used to identify your application credentials and other permanent university records. You will also use your UIN to establish your logon ID, Which we refer to as a NetID. You must create your NetID at application.tamu.edu by clicking Activate NetID. In addition to allowing you to monitor the progress of your application, your NetID will also enable you to access the Howdy! Portal and other online student services at Texas A&M University. If you experience difficulties creating your NetID or accessing the system, click the” Need Help” link on the login page of AIS.
