Pop music (a term that originally derives from an abbreviation of "popular") is usually understood to be commercially recorded music, often oriented towards a youth market, usually consisting of relatively short, simple love songs utilizing technological innovations to produce new variations on existing themes. The term "pop song," is first recorded as being used in 1926 in the sense of a piece of music "having popular appeal".[4] Hatch and Millward indicate that many events in the history of recording in the 1920s can be seen as the birth of the modern pop music industry, including in country, blues and hillbilly music

六年一班 陈庆冲
尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学们，大家下午好：
在这清爽的秋天，我很感谢同学们能给我这次竞选的机会，我这次要竞选的职务是：大队长。
拿破仑曾说过：“不想当将军的士兵不是好士兵。”而我也想说：“要竞选大队长，不是因为这个头衔很响亮，而是因为我想真心实意地为同学们服务。”
我是来自六年一班的班长：陈庆冲。我已经连续担任三年班长。在这几年的班长生涯中，我以身作则，成为了老师的小帮手，同学们的好榜样。班级在我的领导下，不断进步着。我相信，如果我当上了大队长，学校也会被我管理得井井有条。我的学习十分突出，在班级里名列前茅。我的奥数十分突出，多次在学校组织的数学竞赛中名列前茅，取得非常好的成绩。
我十分钟爱二胡，现已达八级水平。我也是校民乐队的一员，我多次随学校表演并且参加了多次艺术节检查，为学校做出了不少贡献。我也是校一名值周生，我认认真真地工作，真真切切地为同学们服务。
假如我当上了大队长，我一定不会骄傲，而是以身作则，成为老师的小帮手，同学们的好榜样。我会上配合领导老师，下组织同学们积极参加学校举行的各项活动，让我们的学校变得有声有色。我更会开展一个又一个精彩又新奇的活动，让我们的学校更加充满欢声笑语。既然是花，我就要开放；既然是树，我就要长成栋梁；既然是石头，我就要去铺出大路；既然是少先队大队长，我就要成为一名出色的领航员！
不过，在座的各位都是十分优秀的，假如我落选了，我也不会气馁，那就说明我还有一定的欠缺，我会加倍努力完善自己的！
