being true to the original is the basic principle in all kinds of translations. then what is to be true to the original ? it means sticking the equicalence to the original while using a target language to express source language. its contents contains following 2 aspects. first, the formal correspondence. it means consider only about the form, in order to make sure the TL form of the reproduced message and the SL form of the expressed information alike, try to translate word of word, and make sure the structures and the comparison alike with the orginal ones. secondly, equivalence in terms of meaning. it require the uniformity of the idea contents of the translation and the original, no adding, deleting nor changing ideas are allowed.
