In this project, the author, having studied the theories with which the function signal generator works, designed a function waveform generation circuit powered by an operational amplifier. After analysis on the circuits and determination of the related parameters, the author decided on a plan most suitable to this project. The most economical, most convenient and most optimized design strategies were employed under the prerequisite of satisfying the requirements of the project. The related parts were chosen against the designed plans, actual wiring board was formed through welding, and adjustment was made in the lab on the welded wiring board, and the contrast was made between the actual performance of the welded board and that of the rated capabilities by the project. Then analysis was done for the reasons and influencing factors of such tolerances. This design uses the IC 741 as the core part for make a function signal generator and is low in the manufacturing costs. It is ideal for students to conduct the electronics technical measurement.
