it was …… that强调句，中间强调部分是主语，宾语，表语，状语，不能强调谓语动词。
例如：
1、正是在沃尔玛超市我丢失了我的挎包，里面有身份证，银行卡及现金等贵重物品。
It was at Wal-Mart that I lost my satchel, which contained my ID card, bank card, cash and other valuables.
2、正是解放军战士日夜奋斗帮我们抵抗住了洪水。
It was the PLA of the People's Liberation Army that fought day and night to help us resist the flood.
一、现用“it was...that结构”强调句子的各种成分。
1、It was Mr. Smith that left all his property to his wife in 2013. 是史密斯先生于2013年把他的全部财产留给了他的妻子。（强调主语“史密斯先生”，而不是别人）
2、It was all his property that Mr. Smith left to his wife in 2013. 2013年史密斯先生留给他妻子的是他的全部财产。（强调直接宾语“全部财产”，而不是其它东西）
3、It was to his wife that Mr. Smith left all his property in 2013. 史密斯先生于2013年留下的全部财产是给他妻子的。（强调间接宾语“给他妻子”，而不是别人）
4、It was in 2013 that Mr. Smith left all his property to his wife. 史密斯先生是在2013年把他的全部财产留给了他的妻子。（强调时间状语是“在2013年”，而不是别的年份）（李宝忱，2012：296）
5、It was light blue that Tom painted his bedroom. 汤姆把卧室刷成浅蓝色的。（强调宾语补足语“浅蓝色的”）
6、It is Little Tiger he is called. 他被称为“小老虎”。（强调主语补足语“小老虎”）
二、还要注意的问题
本句式不能强调谓语，若强调谓语，在肯定式中，需在动词之前加助动词do, does, did，它主要用在别人对所提到的动作表示怀疑的场合。
例如：
1、I did lock the door, I’m absolutely sure.
我确实锁了门，我绝对肯定。
2、I know that you didn’t expect me to go, but I did go.
我知道你本没料到我会去的，可我确实去了。
