other,another,the other,others,the others.
1. 表示两者之中另一个，用The other.
比如：I have two mobile phones, one is NOKIA, the other is Samsung.
2. 表示三者或三者以上之中另一个，或者不确定有两个还是三个以上时，用Another。
This shirt is too big; I'll try another.
这件衬衫太大了；我试试件别的
3.others和some对比使用时, 是“有些”的意思而不是做“其他”讲, 如:Some cleaned the windows, others mopped the floor. 有的擦窗户, 有的擦地板。
此外，others可以表示“别人”的意思
比如： He concerns more about others than himself.
4.the others
是“其余的”意思, 表示在一个范围内的其他全部, 如: This dictionary is better than the others. 这本字典比别[其余]的好。

比如有一篮的苹果，你吃了一个，你朋友叫你再吃一个，就要用another （表示同类的苹果还有好多，但只是取其中一个）,
the other表示两者中的另一个，比如只有两个苹果，one is red, the other is green,
others表示其他的，并且这个其他超过2个，比如还是一篮苹果，one is red , others are green.
the others 没有这样的结构
