Millburn Police have had a busy week in Millburn, between bear tracking, auto thefts and burglaries, a Facebook scam and investigating other thefts including three cases of shoplifting at Short Hills Mall and a bicycle stolen from the high school.
On Saturday, May 14, police arrested Caterina C. Marano,Hermes 6089 Birkin Crocodile Veins Leather Bag Pink Silver Hardwa, 35, of Clark, on shoplifting charges after she reportedly concealed $605 worth of merchandise at Saks Fifth Avenue at the Mall at Short Hills.
Police are also investigating the theft of a $2,Chanel Knockoff Handbags 36377 Blue,450 handbag from the Louis Vuitton shop inside Neiman Marcus that occurred on Sunday, May 15,Chanel 2010 Leather Tote 36377 Bag Black, around 3:30 p.m., according to the manager.
In addition, they are looking into the theft of 20 boxes of Fierce cologne from a display table at Abercrombie & Fitch. On Thursday, May 12, the store manager reported the theft and said the bottles were valued at $1,080.
And last Wednesday, May 11, at about 9:22 a.m., police were notified of the theft of a students red Trek mountain bike from an outside bike rack at Millburn High School. A lock securing the bike had been cut.
The bike is valued at $350, and the victim believes the bike was taken around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, May 10.
