选D,如果lock表示主动的话,后面还应该带个宾语才对,如himself

选择C。spend on+名词,spend(in)+动词的ing;lock可以是及物动词,直接接宾语,比如lock the door,如果是说被锁在房间里了,当然是be locked in the room,但是没有be动词,所以选择locked,原因就是locked并不是意味着spend后面加动词的ed,而是表示一种状态。

C,locked in his own room状态补语,把自己锁在屋里。这里用被动语态,表示被锁,被谁锁呢?被自己锁,有点不好理解,但问题就在动词lock上。
A错在lock是及物动词,需要locking the door或者locking himself in the room
B表示目的,花了一天才把自己锁在屋子里,这样还怎么escape being punished?
