2. No, I don't think so. As its name suggests, 'World War' should have the world involved and lead to the destruction of the countries as well as the various culture in the world.
Movement: The "Cold War" has prevented most countries from being out of order, which, also, let more people survive and live in peace.
Policies: 'military force never officially clashed directly,they expressed the conflict throgh military coalitions, strategic conventional force deployments,extensive aid to states deemed vulunable, proxy war , rivals, espionage, propaganda, conventional and nuclear races, appeals to neutral nations, rivalry at sports events, and technological competitions such as the Space Race.

Wars: In order to stop the Communism from expending to the whole Asia and from having bigger and bigger influence worldwide,meanwhile, to protect the interest of the capitalist class,the U.S.A took whatever method, expect using military force, to suppress the Soviet Union, but only in Europe. In Asia, there were two actually 'hot wars' happened, with lots of people's deaths.
