vow is more like 一个承诺 swear 就系发誓 vow同swear既分别就系承诺同发誓既分别 .两者意思差不多 用法就唔一样... 分别如下 swear 比较多D平时用 e.g. I swore I was telling the truth. 我发誓我说的是真相. 唔会话 I vowed I was telling the truth. 好似中文噤 平时都唔会用 "我承诺我说的是真相." 啦 随非系法庭 or etc vow 就比较 formal 系好认真既场合先用 (虽然swear都可以系认真场合用) 好似头先题过既法庭. 或者 e.g. 婚礼 They said their vows infront of the altar. 他们在圣坛作出承诺.
